Owners Dr. Chris and Dr. Shamanie have years of functional medicine experience and  have seen the dramatic effect of treating patients for nutritional deficiencies. With oral supplementation, we often see a compliance issue, however. The bottles of supplements that stay in the cupboard don’t actually raise your nutrient levels. IV’s guarantee that those levels go up. We know exactly the amount of nutrients that go into the system and the patient feels the difference. Doctors Chris and Shamanie know first hand the effects of chronic illness on quality of life. We are here to help you create health from the inside out and reclaim your life. Reversing chronic disease and helping to prevent disease is our goal and mission.

frequently asked questions

Are IV drip treatments safe?

Absolutely! VitaminDrip has proudly administered more than 1 million IV nutrient therapy drips and has had zero adverse reactions. All of our clinic treatments are administered by highly-trained, licensed medical staff under the supervision of our Medical Director, Vicki Shelquist. Additionally, all vitamins, nutrients, and clinic supplies are provided from medical companies that are first screened for product quality and safety.

What are the benefits of an IV drip?

Each IV recipe has been scientifically crafted in a way that allows us to restore energy and balance in the body by targeting the root cause of an individual's specific health issue. Thus, each drip contains varying amounts of certain nutrients, making it unique to serve its own beneficial purpose. Infusing various vitamins or antioxidants directly into the bloodstream will achieve blood levels as much as ten times higher than possible with oral vitamin intake. This makes intravenous (IV) infusions effective in treating a wide range of medical issues, from chronic conditions such as fatigue, Lyme disease, or any serious illness, to acute conditions such as infections, migraines, asthma or muscle spasm.

The idea of infusing high doses of vitamins intravenously was pioneered by the late Dr. John Myers, a physician from Baltimore, Maryland, who up until his passing in 1984 infused thousands of patients with his unique formulation of vitamins. Since that time his original formula has been modified and other formulas created for a wide variety of diseases – but the basic formula has remained, used successfully by hundreds of physicians, and is known as the “Myer’s cocktail”. Thousands of research articles have been published expanding Dr Myers work proving the therapeutic effects of IV nutrient therapy.

In addition to treating and/or managing various illnesses and diseases, IV therapies also aid in alleviating the cumulative effects of dehydration. Symptoms of dehydration may vary, but include headache, fatigue, muscle cramps or weakness, feeling dizzy or lightheaded, constipation, blurred vision, and dark yellow urine.

Do I need a consultation before a drip?

Consultations are not required before an IV drip, but are always available at your discretion. You can choose to have an in-person consultation or over the phone with a highly-trained medical professional so that you can ensure all of your needs are met and concerns are at ease. With that said, if you are pregnant or have an underlying medical circumstance that may interfere with a treatment, a consultation will be required prior.

How often can I get an IV treatment?

Your IV treatments should be tailored to your intentions as well as your body’s demand. If you’re unsure where to start, rest assured that our licensed medical providers will assist you in customizing your treatments to get the maximum benefit. Depending on the intentions behind the IV, you can receive treatments 1-2x per week, biweekly, or monthly.

Who can get a VitaminDrip?

Almost anyone! We do not treat minors below the age of 13. Patients with certain medical conditions may not be appropriate for our treatment. Once you’ve booked an appointment and taken an online health assessment, our nursing staff will review your medical history with our medical provider. I.V.’s are safe for pregnant and breastfeeding patients however not all medications are recommended during such a period. If you are pregnant, a consultation will be required prior to treatment to ensure the maximum safety and care.

Do you take insurance?

At this time, we do not accept any private insurance carriers, including Medicare or Medicaid. However, we work with most Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) and Healthcare Savings Accounts (HSA) if they are available to you. We ask that you confirm with your individual insurance carrier or FSA/HSA company that they will cover VitaminDrip services prior to your appointment, as we will not be able to refund or reduce the cost of your treatment once it has taken place.

How will I feel after getting an IV drip?

Feeling awesome and energized are the most common side effects.

Kidding! Well, sort of. On a serious note, you can expect to feel a boost of energy and a sense of physical vibrance upon completing an IV drip.

Do you offer a concierge service?

We do offer a concierge service wherein a nurse will come to your residence to provide you with an in-home IV nutrient drip. In addition to the price of your chosen drip, there is a concierge fee. Please call for more information or to schedule a concierge drip.
